Think of something you love to learn or have learned successfully.
There are people who love to learn historical dates.
There are people who love to learn football scores.
There are people who loved learning to drive.
There are people who have learned to enjoy housework.
There are people who take great care to learn other people’s names.
What makes learning fun for you?
What motivates you to learn?
Is there some way you can make it fun to learn what you are learning now?
Is there some way you can take what motivates you to learn something else and apply it to what you are learning now?

Reason Tells You
Reason tells you that
the desire to learn is still here –
hidden under fear of failure,
under years of condemnation for
not getting it right.
Reason tells you that
though she may be concealed by
the need to be cool,
within you there still lives a child
who sticks her hand up high and
calls “me, me” –
eager to be the one to
volunteer.
Reason tells you that
excitement for each new day
can once more be
the norm.
Reason tells you that
you can love to learn
again.
It’s OK to believe learning can be fun.
