NIGHT OF AWE - poem about finding God in nature
by Robert Gresak
(South Africa)
I recall one Winters night in the high mountains when the mystic peaks shone like steel pins awe-inspiring in the moonlight so that my tears flowed at the grand sight.
The heavens were alive with myriad points of glittering starlight all quivering it seemed with joy unconcealed as if a vast eternal love amongst them wheeled.
Who could not be deeply touched gazing up into such immeasurable immensities, a steadfast, infinite radiant frieze. One could not but feel a presence of holy beauty and 'twas as if my soul received that holy kiss. Such awe - which was not dread, but bliss.

Dear Robert, Thank you so much. Joy unconcealed - what a beautifully concise way to capture the moment where we suddenly understand that the joy of God has been with us all along. Wonderful. God Bless you and all who read your beautiful poem.
