GOD WITHIN ME
God within me, God without, How shall I ever be in doubt?
There is no place where I shall go, And there not see God's face, Not know I am God's vision and God's ears.
And so, through the harvest of the years, I am God's sower and God's sown, God's self unfolding and God's own.

I just love this poem. It kept coming into my mind today, so I thought I would put it on the site.
Loneliness and Illness
The poem is fairly easy to learn. It eased loneliness and kept me company in a time of illness. It reminds us that we are of value to God. It is so important to know we are still of value when our bodies stop us from acting physically in the world.
We are not alone. We cannot be separate from a God who is both immanent and transcendent in our lives.
This poem about God still keeps me company today. I am His. :-)

Move to another of the loneliness poems, Jesus be with me always.
