Part 1 of the InterviewMark Jones: "Now this story...bedbound to bookbound, meeting the Wiltshire poet who has turned her illness into writing. Now just imagine being bedbound, not being able to go anywhere, hardly being able to move and talk for 14 years of your life, and you are only in your 20s. Well that is the story for my next guest who lives in Wroughton, and now writes spiritual poetry. Katherine T Owen says it was her faith which kept her going through this awful experience." In Part 1 of the interview, Katherine answers the following questions: - How did the illness start?
- How did you cope? What kept you going?
- Did you feel helped in any way, spiritually if not physically?

"Part 2 of this amazing story"In Part 2, Katherine T Owen answers the following questions about her recovery from Severe Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) and about her writing: - Did it happen just like that [that your muscles stopped collapsing]?
- I appreciate it is a complicated process, but in a nutshell, what did the Lightning Process do for you?
(Katherine answers this question in terms of a particular spiritual principle necessary for manifestation that she believes is active in the Lightning Process and which played a key role in helping her get better. Please note that The Lightning Process is an entirely secular process, it makes no mention of God. There are a large number of other factors in the Lightning Process that work to allow healing, and these are not discussed here. Katherine was already actively studying and practising many healing beliefs, both spiritual and secular, but there was one element that she could not get on her own, and the Lightning Process provided this, along with others. In the course of the conversation, the Lightning Process is referred to as a therapy. It is not a therapy or a treatment. It is a training programme.) - Did your experiences lead to your spiritual and inspirational writing?
Katherine's interview is followed by comment by Mark Jones, BBC presenter, and Alison Morely, Methodist Minister. | Click here for Part 2 of the interview |
