Poem For A Friend Who Is Ill

by Bob
(Oxfordshire, UK)

I know you now, I know that smile

I have never seen it grim
Courage stands behind that smile
and fights the ills within

If that smile should start to go
when you’re not feeling fine
You be sure to let me know
and I will send you mine

Note from a-spiritual-journey-of-healing.com
I received this poem from a friend this morning who recently learned something of my past difficulties.
Thank you my friend. Your offer is received and warms my heart.
I share it here so it can warm the heart of others.

To all those who read this who are living with illness, please know you are not alone.

I know your strength and I send my love,

Katherine

"One thing that struck me was the stripping of ego in the work. Most of us have a comfy ego façade, but weakness and disease tore Katherine’s away. The poems in Be Loved Beloved come from the heart."
