High dose thiamine treatment by person with CFS/ME

by Deirdre
(Washington DC)

I've been taking high dose thiamine (currently 2000 mg/day) for a bad bout of CFS/ME. It definitely helps, although there are many side effects (and side effects of the remedies for those effects) to get through (particularly at higher doses).

I've seen enough improvement to believe I will eventually get back to normal.

Derrick Lonsdale was the pioneer of this treatment -- see his website "Hormones Matter" and search for CFS/ME.

There is also a Facebook group "Addressing Thiamine Deficiency & Paradoxical Reactions" run by Elliot Overton for people using his protocol.
