Poem for a funeral

THE POWER TO BELIEVE
I listen to my heartbeat and I'm thankful as can be
for God gave me the power
the power to believe.
Your heart will mend, your tears will dry
a smile will come again
for when my life is over, it will never really end.
My memory will live on again
in my children's children's hearts,
and though I'm not here to hold them in life
we are never really apart.
I will look down upon them
and watch them as they grow
and if they see a falling star
I hope that they will know
that someone watches over them
and keeps them in her heart,
that God and I are here for them
and have been from the start.
They are always in my prayers
first thing day and night
for God gave this love to me
My joy, My tears, My Life.......

Comfort Poem Death
by Noreen Fitzgerald
(Downers Grove,Illinois)
Mom's Song
Although we know you're in heaven
We miss you very much
We think of you very often
We miss your gentle touch.
Today would have been your birthday
You would have been 82
God had other plans in mind
Plans that were made for only you.
You're surrounded by the angels
There's music all the time
They're embracing you in heaven
They're forming in a line.
Although we hate to let you go
We'll think of you in prayer
When your Irish eyes are smiling
In our hearts you're always there.
