Poem for a funeral

by julie
(N Little Rock, AR USA)

I listen to my heartbeat and I'm thankful as can be
for God gave me the power
the power to believe.
Your heart will mend, your tears will dry
a smile will come again
for when my life is over, it will never really end.
My memory will live on again
in my children's children's hearts,
and though I'm not here to hold them in life
we are never really apart.
I will look down upon them
and watch them as they grow
and if they see a falling star
I hope that they will know
that someone watches over them
and keeps them in her heart,
that God and I are here for them
and have been from the start.
They are always in my prayers
first thing day and night
for God gave this love to me
My joy, My tears, My Life.......

Comfort Poem Death

by Noreen Fitzgerald
(Downers Grove,Illinois)

Mom's Song

Although we know you're in heaven
We miss you very much
We think of you very often
We miss your gentle touch.

Today would have been your birthday
You would have been 82
God had other plans in mind
Plans that were made for only you.

You're surrounded by the angels
There's music all the time
They're embracing you in heaven
They're forming in a line.

Although we hate to let you go
We'll think of you in prayer
When your Irish eyes are smiling
In our hearts you're always there.

Blessing on Grandmothers and Mothers
by: Penny Gordon

I love this Poem, as my Mom's Mom was of Irish descent...

How often in the depths of emotional waters I have felt her wonderful cuddle, her humming beautiful voice...Her joyful humour & loving affection is still a medicine to my soul...

God richly continue to bless all Grandmothers of such a loving legacy...the world needs many more of these...

Let it be so, that no child should go without the nourishment of affection they need...

Let no child have a barren childhood without cuddles, songs, and happy laughter...

God Bless all Moms who have taken on the great responsibility of MotherHood, it a Master's Degree in Life...It is the first cradle of our being...no greater task than this...may Love prevail over All...

Be Loved Beloved

"One thing that struck me was the stripping of ego in the work. Most of us have a comfy ego façade, but weakness and disease tore Katherine’s away. The poems in Be Loved Beloved come from the heart."
