A series of heartfelt prayers for God’s guidance from our visitor Daniel. The last two were submitted as prayer poems.

Out From the Woods

Oh God help me out of these woods that I got myself lost in

as a ramification of listening & obeying the wrong voice from

within me; leading me to making the wrong decisions that have put

me in the unenviable situation that I find myself in my life. Oh

Lord, I pray & humbly beseech thee to guide this lost lamb out of

these woods & into the great wide-open field; into the green

pastures where I can once again graze amongst the flock that I

strayed away from. For you, almighty God, are my shepherd that I

can & will always trust to facilitate me with my problems. You alone, oh Lord, are my strength & hope &

I can rest assured, with full affirmation, that you will always be

with me...AMEN

A PRAYER FOR SPIRITUAL ENDURANCE

May the sense of peace that comes over me while I give thanks &

praise to thee oh Lord during mass not fade away, which it

gradually ends up doing when I go back out into the world, but

for it, instead, to remain strong from within me all the way up to

the next time I go to mass. Prevent me oh Lord from jumping back

into the pig-pen to dirty myself up with sin, something that I

find myself doing time & time again. Keep me from allowing

trivial as well as serious matters from getting the best of me.

Oh Lord, make me strong & keep me strong so that I can be the kind

of person that I know I should be. I humbly ask all of this from

you Almighty God, through my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ...AMEN

Prayer poems

Purified

Oh Lord, purify me with your fire that you programmed nature

to use with your inconceivable power to purify the landscape of a

forest. Purify the landscape of my life that's filled with the

weeds & briers of negativity. May all that negativity be

eradicated by your fire oh Lord & may the result be a landscape

that is filled with the pleasant fragrance & beauty of love &

understanding.

The Shepherd's Flock

A prayer of adoration and devotion

Oh Lord, my faith for you shall never dwindle, nor shall it

ever stray, for I am one of the many in your flock & you are my

shepherd that I will always give thanks & praise to day by day;

protecting me from the danger of the wolf in sheep's clothing. I

shall always be reverent & humble to worshiping you oh Lord with

all my faith & love I sing.
