Spiritual companionship, the power of Oneness, poem
by Sharon M. Williams
(Los Angeles, CA)
A DOSE OF HEALING
Can you come
sit on the floor
with me
Leave our podiums of judgment
and chairs of criticism behind
Do not be afraid,
on the floor
with me
You’ll get up stronger—
from our oneness
you'll see
We'll be like children
fearless, trusting
undaunted and free
Can you come
sit on the floor
with me
We'll read, watch sports,
sit in silence
just be
Spiritual books stacked high
in the corner, I see
In defiance of those
laying burdens
at our feet
Through weakness
we are strong and confident
in He
Can you come
sit on the floor
with me
There will be tears,
laughter, peace
running deep
You'll be
a changed you,
I'll be
a changed me
You’ll see
Reply from Katherine T Owen, webmaster This is a beautiful healing poem Sharon.
It speaks to me of letting the still small quiet voice and love of our brother be louder than any spiritual teaching.
I am not taking many submissions at the moment (Jan 2022).
But if a poet out there has one related to company or relationships, the power of seeing the beauty in another, of being witnessed as a fellow child of God, of joining in Oneness, please feel free to enter it in the submissions box for consideration.
