What Is Prayer?

by Rosemary DiFlorio
(Mississauga, ON Canada)

Prayer is calling for God’s help

Prayer is asking for the answers
Whether in a chapel or amongst the trees
It is not important, just bend to our knees.

Prayer is nourishment for the soul
Prayer is the way to reach a goal
It is light in the darkness
It is strength for the weak
It is Grace bestowed
To the humble and meek.

We ask for forgiveness
For our sins of the day
We ask God to help us
And to teach us the way.

No questions unanswered
No thoughts go unheard
Just lift up your heart
He hears every word.

The wise become wiser
The hurt become healed
All fears seem to vanish
For they’re all unconcealed.
