Jesus with you always

Till The Day I Depart

The sun’s on the rise
and I greet the morn
A life somewhere was lost
and another was born.

I praise you sweet Lord
for all that you gave.
When you died on that cross
it was my soul that you saved.

I will stumble and fall
to rise once again.
For you will stay with me
from beginning to end.

I know you’re beside me all through this life
all through these days and into the night
lifting me up, and mending my heart
from the day I was born
till the day I depart.

Jesus walks on water

by Sonny
(Syracuse NY)

JESUS WALKS ON WATER

Matt 14:22-32
When evening had come we set sail
Upon a darkened sea
We entered a ship for Capernaum
On the waves of Galilee

The rising waters arose on us
A wind that fiercely blew
We had sailed about three miles or so
When something strange went passing through

Amid the heaving boisterous waves
On the water walked a man.
I thought I was losing my mind
So I had to look again

That’s when I heard him say the words
It is I my sons take courage
I couldn’t believe my ears
As our ship was losing steerage

Lord if it’s you I cried to him
I’ll join you and leave this boat
(I must be out of my mind
Have I even the faith to float?)

Come Jesus shouted
And so I left the boat
I was walking on the water
(Am I doing this on my own?)

But then fiercer still than the wind
Was the fear inside my heart
I was sinking rather quickly
Lord save me before I depart

He took me firmly by my hand
As we climbed into the boat
And the wind and the waves were gone
As I held onto his cloak

We got onto our knees and worshiped him
And no sooner had we arisen
Than we were on the other side
And the wind and the waves were gone

"One thing that struck me was the stripping of ego in the work. Most of us have a comfy ego façade, but weakness and disease tore Katherine’s away. The poems in Be Loved Beloved come from the heart."
