Biblical Poem based on Isaiah
by Lisa M Leonard
(Fremont, NE, USA)
THE CLAY
(Based on bible verses from Isaiah 64)
Earth is Your footstool, heaven Your throne
But where is the house we build
For You, O God, and You alone
For You, our song and shield
Who calls for justice, who pleads for truth
Who wails for the grief in Your heart
Mountains will vanish, hills be removed
But Your word will never depart
We are the work of Your hand
Lord, give us the words to say
Do not be angry
O God, hear our cry
Our Potter, we are the clay
Most High God, You own eternity
Is there no one who calls on Your name
Remember not our iniquity
Hide not Your face from our shame
We fade like the leaves
Our sins, like the wind, have carried us away
Our righteous deeds are all filthy rags
O heal us, dear God, we pray

Revelation Bible Poem
by Dan Garringer
(Lincoln, AR )
Babylon, the Great (The Revelation; Chapter 17)
And when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
Her beauty shone through the purple night
Dimming all but her to my sight.
She held a golden cup, extended to me,
Torn between need and a desire to flee.
She was arrayed and beckoned to the nation.
Oh, the Mystery, Babylon, the Great,
Beauty, riding astride the Beast,
Do you bring harvest or deadly feast?
Arrayed in colors royal and decked in gold,
Cup with scarlet slipping o'er the brim,
Breasts like pearls in gold dust trim,
Beckons she to me alone it seems;
Answer now your fate she deems,
Spirit met or soul I've sold!
Oh, the Mystery, Babylon, the Great,
Beauty riding astride the Beast,
Do you bring harvest or deadly feast.

God is a Writer
by Brenda Baranowski
(San Angelo, Texas)
God is a Writer, did you know?
Malachi 3:16 tells that it’s so…
“For those who feared the Lord spoke to one another,
God listened and He heard…
In His Book of Remembrance, He is writing every word.
God is an Editor too, editing out sin and shame,
Dear Great Author, we worship Your holy name!
I am excited to one day read my life from God’s point of view
In His Book of Remembrance He is writing for me and for you!
